Important Information:
If you are under 60 years old and earn more than ₹40,000 interest from your FD, 10% TDS will be deducted. If you do not file income tax, you can avoid tax by submitting Form 15H to the bank.
If you are over 60 years old and earn more than ₹50,000 interest from your FD, 10% TDS will be deducted. However, you can save tax by submitting Form 15H to the bank if you do not file income tax.
